No matter if you are looking to train for the field, channel your gundogs instincts positively or simply just have some fun with your gundog your gundog session can be tailored to whatever your end goal is with your gundog!
Gundog training doesn’t have to be super serious, you can learn whatever you need to in a fun and engaging way for both you and your gundog.
Gundog training is also fun for other breeds and gundog mixes too, such as Labradoodles, Cockerpoos and such.

Sessions take place at our fully fenced enclosed field venue based in Purleigh, Essex.
Gundog Training Sessions last for 1 hour and cost £85. For younger dogs/puppies we also have half-hour slots available at a cost of £42.50.

121 sessions are tailored to suit your specific needs and cover a variety of issues such as:
- Loose Leash Walking
- Recall Training
- Stop whistle
- Retrieves
- Delivery to hand
- Directional work
- Whistle training
- Water confidence – subject to availability
- Dummy work
- Placeboard Training / Waits
- Cold game work – if required
Need a shorter session?
There are many reasons why a shorter session might suit you and your dog better, such as you may:
- Have a young puppy
- Have a recovering dog
- Have an older dog
- Be short on time
- Be recovering yourself

Is gundog training right for you and your gundog?
Gundog training is a great way to engage your gundog and improve training &/or some behavioural issues.
However, if you have a specific issue such as not coming back when called, problems with loose lead walking, reactivity and such, then I highly recommend you consider investing in one of our programs for the fastest most effective and targeted results.

I have 3 Longhaired Weimaraners, which fall into the HPR group (hunt, point & retrieve) within the gundog group, at one point I had 4 lovely Longhaired Weimaraners and was super active with them all in multiple disciplines.
I have worked all 3 of my older dogs out in the field, rough shooting and beating attending shot-over days, successfully competing at working test events and helping my daughter with her youngest Weimaraners field fun!
I have well over 12 years experience within the field and have worked with various other breeds over time.
I love working in the field of gundog training and love training gundogs in positive and reward based ways, working out what suits dog and handler best without force or pressure. There is no greater joy than achieving things with your dog through a partnership built on trust and that is what I aim to build for you and your dog in the field.
