More about Dental Cleans
Does it hurt?
Absolutely not, your dog will not even feel the ultrasonic waves during the session.
What if my dog wont settle?
If I am unable to settle your dog to comfortably and calmly accept the treatment within a few sessions, I will discuss this fully with you and if unable to continue, any payments made on account for future treatments will be refunded.
How quickly will I see a difference?
It depends on the current state of your dogs teeth when they start. A heavy plaque build up can take 10 or more treatments to see a difference. If your dog has light build up then you should notice the difference immediately.
Can any dogs teeth be done?
No. Whilst most dogs teeth can be cleaned, initially I will need to see your dogs teeth to assess their suitability for an Ultrasonic Dental Clean.
Excessive build up, swollen or sore gums etc would need referral to a veterinarian to ensure they are happy with your dogs teeth first.

Does it matter if I feed my bitch before I bring them for their scan?
No, but I’d avoid any big meals just for their comfort.
Do I need to prevent them/make them go to the toilet before their scan?
No, they may be more comfortable during the scan if they have had a wee but if they haven’t this will not affect the quality of their scan.
Can I video the scan?
No. But I do take clips throughout the scan and replay those afterwards so that can you record them on your mobile phone or tablet to keep them.
